Ney & Partners, a structural engineering consultancy based in Belgium, faced the challenge of designing and constructing the complex Headquarters Cordeel building spanning a 60-meter-wide dry dock. The project required meticulous planning to manage significant structural loads, long cantilevers, and the impact of temporary construction stages on the final execution schedule. They utilized SCIA Engineer for the structural analysis and design.

SCIA Engineer provided a comprehensive solution, enabling Ney & Partners to perform a detailed finite element analysis for foundation loads, steel code checks, connection detailing, and stability assessments. The software's BIM integration with Allplan facilitated error-free modeling and rebar detailing, which prevented collisions on site and led to significant time savings during construction. Furthermore, SCIA Engineer's bill of material feature allowed for an early and accurate budget evaluation. The successful project went on to win the SCIA User Contest 2020.
