Case Study: HESCON s.r.o. delivers UEFA Category 4 Football Stadium Design with SCIA Engineer

A SCIA Case Study

Preview of the Hescon S.r.o Case Study

Hescon S.r.o builds 13,000-seat UEFA category 4 stadium with SCIA

The customer, Hescon S.r.o., the engineering office for the new DAC Arena football stadium in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia, required a central information model to manage the complex phased construction. Their challenge involved coordinating the design of prefabricated concrete and steel structures, performing advanced analyses, and exchanging data with multiple other specialist software platforms. The vendor, SCIA, provided its SCIA Engineer software to create the global static model for this project.

SCIA implemented a solution where SCIA Engineer was used as the central model for structural design and review. This enabled Hescon to perform advanced calculations for dynamic effects and fire resistance, check all limit states for concrete and steel, and seamlessly exchange data with Allplan, Tekla, Peikko Designer, and Hilti software. The result was a successfully constructed UEFA Category 4 stadium for 13,000 spectators, with workshop documentation effectively generated and the initial building phases completed on schedule.
