Camden City School District faced the challenge of simplifying and centralizing school choice for families across the city’s public and charter schools while boosting outreach and support for diverse communities. To address this, Camden partnered with SchoolMint to build a citywide unified enrollment system and a tailored school chooser that could make options clearer and streamline applications for families.

SchoolMint’s solution combined the unified enrollment platform and a customized school chooser with hands-on supports: a hotline, multiple enrollment centers, bilingual family enrollment guides, community outreach (including the “Choose Camden” campaign and Parent Champions), and targeted events. The effort generated measurable engagement—more than 5,000 hotline calls and roughly one in five applicants receiving direct support—faster response times (answers within 24 hours) and stronger family trust and participation across Camden.
