Durham Public Schools, a district in Durham, NC with 31,000+ students and 56 schools, needed a better way to manage enrollment for its many magnet schools and programs. The district wanted a K-12 student enrollment system that could handle the process fairly and help it make better use of its facilities.
SchoolMint implemented SchoolMint Enroll to process applications, run multiple student lotteries, assign student placements, and keep communication open with families throughout the enrollment process. The district reported the smoothest lottery launch it had had in over five years, and SchoolMint Enroll also gave families mobile access to apply anytime, reduced application time through SIS integration, created an online transfer application process, and delivered appeals and approval or denial letters through the system.
