North Kansas City Schools boosts 4-year plan submissions above 90% with SchooLinks

North Kansas City Schools (NKCS) faced a challenge with its college and career readiness (CCR) program, as student plans were created on paper and filed away, leading to a complete disconnect from the students' daily experiences. Seeking an engaging and interactive solution, NKCS selected the SchooLinks CCR platform to replace this inefficient process and provide equitable resources for all students.

By implementing SchooLinks, NKCS achieved high engagement, with over 90% of students in key grades submitting digital four-year plans. The platform's intuitive design facilitated exploration and led to more productive counselor-student conversations. The positive results prompted an expansion to lower grades, and SchooLinks will now also be used to manage work-based learning and postsecondary opportunities, propelling the district toward its student success goals.
