A Schneider Electric Case Study

Preview of the Sofia Sea Case Study

The past and future merge for the ultimate experience with EcoStruxure

Sofia Sea, the Sea of Galilee hotel in Tiberias, came to Schneider Electric with the challenge of preserving a historic Ottoman structure while transforming it into Israel’s most advanced smart hotel—delivering a luxurious guest experience and improved operational efficiency. Schneider Electric deployed its EcoStruxure for Hotels platform (with EcoStruxure Building Operation and other EcoStruxure components) alongside EcoXpert partner Afcon Control and Automation to modernize the building’s systems.

Schneider Electric implemented a fully integrated IoT-enabled BMS, power monitoring, 600 glass touch panels across 120 smart rooms, HVAC and lighting integration, and real-time analytics via EcoStruxure Building Advisor. The solution gave staff centralized control and guests intuitive in-room controls, and has already delivered measurable results—about 10% energy savings and a 10% reduction in maintenance and workforce expenses since opening—demonstrating Schneider Electric’s impact on performance and guest satisfaction.
