Case Study: EUREF AG achieves Germany’s 2050 climate targets early and major CO2 reductions with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure

A Schneider Electric Case Study

Preview of the EUREF AG Case Study

The EUREF-Campus in Berlin has met their FUTURE 2050 carbon-free target 30 years ahead of time thanks to EcoStruxure TM Grid

EUREF AG wanted to transform its Berlin EUREF‑Campus into a leader in sustainable energy and networked mobility, tackling building automation, energy savings, campus-wide energy management and transport electrification to exceed Germany’s 2050 climate targets. To achieve this, EUREF AG partnered with Schneider Electric and deployed the EcoStruxure portfolio, including EcoStruxure Resource Advisor, EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor (coming soon), EcoStruxure Building Operation and EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert.

Schneider Electric implemented a smart microgrid (solar, wind, biogas, CHP, Li‑ion and lead‑acid batteries, Power‑to‑Heat/Cool), a single SCADA for control and visualization, integrated building management and per‑building energy management systems, plus 70+ EV charging points and a bidirectional e‑bus charger. The result: about 2,000 t CO2 saved per year, generation that could power an electric vehicle for roughly 1.2 million km (or circumnavigate the globe multiple times annually), seven office buildings awarded for environmental design, and EUREF‑Campus meeting Germany’s 2050 climate targets—outcomes achieved with Schneider Electric’s solutions.
