Takeda - Customer Case Study

Takeda, an R&D-driven biopharmaceutical company, needed to cut emissions, boost operational resilience, and improve occupant comfort at its Singapore manufacturing support building as part of its Climate Action Program and Singapore’s Green Building Masterplan. To meet goals including net-zero emissions before 2035 and advanced energy monitoring, Takeda partnered with Schneider Electric and deployed EcoStruxure solutions such as EcoStruxure Building Operation, EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert, Modicon M580 controllers and AVEVA System Platform.

Schneider Electric implemented a full EcoStruxure stack—integrating BMS, power monitoring, edge control and AVEVA industrial software—to unify operations, enable data-driven control and automate HVAC and lighting for efficiency and comfort. The solution delivered a 15% on-site energy surplus, earned Green Mark Platinum Positive Energy certification, improved staff comfort and safety, and secured the building’s status as the first positive-energy biopharmaceutical facility in Singapore and in Takeda’s global manufacturing network.
