Swire Properties, a major owner and operator of office buildings and shopping malls in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, needed to radically improve building management to meet Science Based Targets, cut energy use and costs, and adopt an integrated sustainability approach. To tackle this, Swire Properties partnered with Schneider Electric and deployed EcoStruxure solutions (including EcoStruxure Energy Advisor alongside Resource Advisor, Power Advisor and related Power SCADA/Monitoring and connected products) to enable analytics-driven target setting and continuous performance tracking.

Schneider Electric implemented a cloud-based EcoStruxure platform across five sites, providing real-time monitoring, automated fault detection and centralized remote operations for over 20,000 asset points. The deployment is expected to deliver 10–20% annual energy savings, enable up to 80% of issues to be resolved remotely, unlock hidden savings through optimized controls, and establish benchmarks that drive ongoing efficiency and carbon‑reduction improvements.
