Sinopec Hainan Refining & Chemical Co., a subsidiary of Sinopec operating 17 oil refining and petrochemical production units in Hainan, China, needed to digitize processes to improve operation and maintenance, ensure safe and stable plant performance, and reduce energy consumption. To achieve a single, integrated automation platform and centralized monitoring—replacing disparate vendor systems—they partnered with Schneider Electric and its EcoStruxure for Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals architecture, including EcoStruxure Triconex Safety Systems and EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS.

Schneider Electric delivered a complete EcoStruxure solution—EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS I/A, EcoStruxure Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS), AVEVA InTouch HMI, fire and gas detection, compressor (TMC) control, Foxboro transmitters, safety barriers, LV products and turnkey engineering/system integration services.
