Case Study: Epic Investment Services achieves a sustainable, future-ready HSBC Place with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Building Operation

A Schneider Electric Case Study

Preview of the Epic Investment Services Case Study

Rebuilt to brand new with EcoStruxureTM Building Operation enabling real-time control and management of building systems

Epic Investment Services manages HSBC Place in downtown Edmonton, an 18-storey office tower that had reached the end of its mechanical and electrical life and needed a full overhaul to remain competitive. To create a modern, amenity-rich and sustainable building, Epic (with owner AIMCo) engaged Schneider Electric and selected EcoStruxure™ Building Operation to modernize building systems and improve tenant experience.

Schneider Electric implemented EcoStruxure Building Operation to integrate HVAC, lighting, power, security and other systems—linking 600+ areas via a single, mobile-accessible platform and custom APIs where needed. The solution gives tenants control over air and lighting, provides operators centralized, real-time visibility, and enabled outcomes including LEED Gold v4, WELL Gold v2 and WiredScore Platinum certifications, higher tenant satisfaction, AA-class positioning and potential reductions in operating costs.
