Leading Edge Data Centres, founded in 2018 to bridge the digital divide in regional Australia, needed a way to deliver stable, low‑cost connectivity from a replicated network of lights‑out edge facilities. Facing frequent costly outages (up to A$160,000 per customer) and remote greenfield sites with limited power infrastructure, Leading Edge Data Centres partnered with Schneider Electric and adopted EcoStruxure IT Expert/EcoStruxure IT and prefabricated certified edge data centre solutions to enable remote access, redundancy and rapid, repeatable deployment.

Schneider Electric designed, built, commissioned and now supports Australian‑built prefabricated data centres using EcoStruxure IT Expert, EcoStruxure Asset Advisor, InRow cooling, EcoAisle containment, Galaxy UPS, metered PDUs, on‑site solar and generator backup. The result is faster, more reliable connectivity and a cost‑effective rollout with 24/7 remote monitoring and management, an expected PUE of 1.3 (optimizable to 1.2), 60 kW of solar per site, long‑life 50‑year buildings, and customer outage cost reductions of up to 80% — all delivered and supported by Schneider Electric.
