A Schneider Electric Case Study
Bainbridge Island School District, a K–12 district serving about 4,000 students across 11 buildings and 35 data closets, faced frequent storm-driven power glitches and brownouts that threatened classroom uptime and stretched a small IT team. The district had already deployed UPS units and Schneider Electric’s on‑premise DCIM (EcoStruxure™ IT) but needed a simpler, smarter way to aggregate alarms, reduce nuisance notifications, and monitor distributed sites remotely.
Schneider Electric implemented its cloud‑based EcoStruxure IT app and the EcoStruxure Asset Advisor Service Bureau to centralize device data, consolidate alarms, and provide 24/7 expert monitoring and dispatch. As a result, off‑hours monitoring and troubleshooting dropped from hours to minutes, mean time to repair was reduced through faster diagnostics and preloaded device/support info, and district staff gained reliable, real‑time visibility and peace of mind from Schneider Electric’s continuous oversight.
