Increasing resource efficiency through software and services for Hilton Worldwide

Hilton Worldwide, a global hospitality company with 4,500+ properties, needed to improve resource efficiency and rein in utility costs (the chain’s second-largest expense after labor). Hilton engaged Schneider Electric, deploying EcoStruxure Resource Advisor along with EcoStruxure building and guest-room solutions and Energy & Sustainability Services to make utility consumption and costs visible and actionable across its portfolio.

Schneider Electric implemented cloud-based EcoStruxure Resource Advisor, consulting and procurement support, automated bill management, building management systems, and room controls to deliver real-time dashboards, benchmarking, and operational best practices. The program achieved about 3% energy savings per year — totaling 14.5% since 2009 — reduced billing discrepancies and pricing risk, and freed savings Hilton can reinvest into the guest experience.
