Hyatt Regency Mexico City needed to guarantee continuous, reliable power for guests and events but lacked real-time visibility into critical electrical assets and equipment capable of maintaining service during maintenance. To modernize its aging substation and avoid disruptions, the hotel engaged Schneider Electric and its EcoStruxure suite, including EcoStruxure Asset Advisor, PowerLogic meters, Trihal transformers, QDLogic switchboards, Square D Model 6 MCC, LV Prisma panels and MasterPacT circuit breakers.

Schneider Electric upgraded the hotel’s entire power distribution—replacing four six‑ton transformers on the 44th floor, installing an RM6 ring network cell for uninterrupted supply, and deploying IoT-enabled monitoring via EcoStruxure Asset Advisor and PowerLogic PM8000 meters. The project delivered 24/7 remote monitoring, uninterrupted operation during the year-long retrofit, improved guest satisfaction, and a measured 50% reduction in maintenance time.
