Case Study: EcoDataCenter achieves a climate-positive, ultra-efficient data center with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure

A Schneider Electric Case Study

How to increase your operational efficiency in the face of loT-growth demands

EcoDataCenter, based in Falun, Sweden, set out to build an exemplar climate-positive HPC colocation that could deliver high uptime, low energy use, and waste-heat reuse for the local community. To meet those goals they partnered with Schneider Electric and deployed EcoStruxure for Cloud & Service Providers, including EcoStruxure IT Advisor and access to Schneider’s Connected Services Hub for continuous monitoring and support.

Schneider Electric integrated connected power, cooling, and management systems — including four Galaxy™ VX UPSs (1,250 kW each) running in 99% ECOnversion Mode, CRAH units, and Uniflair chillers — under the EcoStruxure platform and IT Advisor. The deployment supports up to 3,750 kW of customer load, enables sensor- and meter-based temperature control, achieves an EER of 132 and a seasonal PUE of 1.15, and allows EcoDataCenter to reuse low-grade waste heat for a neighboring pellet mill, demonstrating measurable gains in efficiency and community impact.
