Case Study: INAP achieves rapid, scalable low-latency edge deployments with Schneider Electric

A Schneider Electric Case Study

Preview of the INAP Case Study

How smart buildings leverage the Internet of Things (loT) to maximize oper-ational efficiency, cut energy waste, and lower overall costs

INAP, a global colocation provider, needed edge computing capability to deliver lower latency, scalable availability and the ability to rapidly ramp up dedicated data-center infrastructure—often within 8 to 10 weeks. They sought a partner to provide high-quality products, reliability and lifecycle support and engaged Schneider Electric, leveraging its EcoStruxure portfolio including Symmetra™ MV UPS (1.4 MW protection), Square D® medium‑voltage switchgear, Uniflair cooling systems, rack PDUs, building management software and maintenance services.

Schneider Electric delivered a modular EcoStruxure infrastructure—UPS, switchgear, cooling, rack and management/maintenance solutions—that enabled INAP to rapidly deploy and scale edge sites to meet customer demand. The implementation provided measurable capacity (e.g., 1.4 MW UPS protection), faster turn-up to satisfy tight 8–10 week windows, and the operational agility to upgrade capacity on demand, allowing INAP’s customers to enjoy low-latency experiences such as lag‑free gaming and speedy digital-ad delivery.
