How Schneider Electric is helping a leading Greek panel builder expand its operations through licensing

Kafkas, a Greek retailer and panel builder founded in 1975, wanted to expand its panel-building operations into the medium-voltage (MV) segment but needed a trusted, fully tested solution and ongoing support. In 2014 the company partnered with Schneider Electric and acquired a license to manufacture the Set Series SM6 MV switchgear to meet market expectations for reliability and compliance.

Schneider Electric delivered the SM6 switchgear license plus digital tools and platforms—including EcoStruxure, the mySchneider Panel Builder Partner Portal and Schneider Electric Exchange—along with training and standards support. As a result, Kafkas now produces roughly 120 MV switchboards a year, has secured larger industrial and marine projects, opened its first retail store in Cyprus, and strengthened its competitiveness and technical capabilities.
