How an integrated EcoStruxureTM Grid solution is advancing smart grid management

SICAE Somme & Cambraisis, a regional electricity utility in Hauts‑de‑France serving around 30,000 customers across 185 municipalities and operating 1,952 km of MV/LV network, faced the challenge of integrating significant wind generation, preparing for Linky smart meters and EV charging, and maintaining reliable service. To meet these needs they selected Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure ADMS as the cornerstone of a smart‑grid transformation, together with the Easergy T300 for LV/MV remote control and monitoring.

Schneider Electric implemented the EcoStruxure ADMS (part of the EcoStruxure Grid platform) to provide unified supervision (DMS/SCADA/OMS/EMS), geolocation, fault‑location and automatic reconfiguration, simulation and planning, and traceable work management. As a result, SICAE Somme & Cambraisis achieved more effective incident management, optimized deployment of network and field crews, and increased capability to integrate renewables and other distributed assets—becoming the first French utility to deploy this ADMS solution.
