Efficient and sustainable water distribution system with EcoStruxureTM for Water and Wastewater

Kunming CGE Water Supply Co. Ltd., the municipal utility serving nearly four million people in Kunming, needed to ensure a safe, stable and scalable water supply while cutting leakage, energy waste and overall operating costs. To address these challenges it partnered with Schneider Electric, deploying EcoStruxure for Water & Wastewater and related technologies (Modicon M340 PACs, Altivar ATV1200/630 drives, AVEVA System Platform and EMS+).

Schneider Electric implemented a fully integrated EcoStruxure solution combining edge control, smart power distribution and AVEVA analytics to provide real-time control, centralized visualization and energy management across plants, pumps and the distribution network. The deployment improved operational management and energy visibility, reduced energy use and operating costs, and delivered a safer, more reliable and sustainable water distribution process for Kunming CGE Water Supply Co.
