Case Study: Wilo Pumps Indonesia achieves 20% energy savings, 25% less downtime and 40% lower labor costs with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure

A Schneider Electric Case Study

Preview of the Wilo Case Study

Delivering safety and reliability with a climate-smart solution

Wilo Pumps Indonesia, a subsidiary of pump-maker Wilo, was asked to rebuild a dewatering system for one of Indonesia’s largest mining companies after a severe flood. The mine’s remote location made inspections, repairs and maintenance slow and costly, so Wilo partnered with Schneider Electric to deliver a solution that provided reliable flood protection plus remote monitoring, reporting and control (using Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Machine capabilities).

Schneider Electric implemented a fully integrated dewatering solution combining EcoStruxure Machine Advisor with AVEVA Edge on AVEVA Connect (with edge controllers and IIoT hardware) to enable cloud-based remote control, real-time dashboards, predictive maintenance and faster troubleshooting. The Schneider Electric solution cut energy use by 20%, reduced downtime by 25% through faster fault detection and resolution, and lowered labor costs by 40% (now one operator per site/shift instead of four).
