DataHub Biel, a Swiss colocation data center, needed to meet very high local standards for security, availability and environmental performance while coping with fast-growing IoT-driven demand, limited land and the need for real‑time operational transparency. To achieve this, DataHub Biel selected Schneider Electric and its EcoStruxure portfolio — including EcoStruxure IT/DCIM, StruxureWare software and a suite of connected products such as the Galaxy VX UPS with lithium‑ion batteries, InRow cooling, NetShelter racks and NetBotz monitoring.

Schneider Electric delivered a standardized, modular, single‑source solution that reduced interfaces and deployment risk, introduced the Galaxy VX UPS (a Swiss first) and provided DCIM visibility via EcoStruxure IT. The outcome: Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) below 1.25, operational efficacy over 98%, 99.99% availability (Tier III/partly IV), up to 15–20 kW per rack saving valuable space, and full customer access to real‑time performance and consumption data — demonstrating measurable gains in efficiency, scalability and transparency.
