BASF built a new electrical substation at its Beaumont, Texas plant and wanted to lead in data-driven services and remote monitoring to maximize uptime and productivity. To achieve this, BASF partnered with Schneider Electric and deployed EcoStruxure Asset Advisor — now remotely monitoring 63 assets, measuring 100+ variables and providing 24/7 access to asset health data.

Schneider Electric built Substation 6 with low- and medium-voltage switchgear, TeSys motor control systems, UPS units, variable frequency drives and Power Monitor Expert, and implemented EcoStruxure Asset Advisor plus Services Bureau support for proactive recommendations. As a result, BASF can remotely view a global health index and individual asset status, measure and compute 100+ variables for reliable condition monitoring, reduce risk of catastrophic failures, improve safety and increase operational efficiency.
