Case Study: Ypsomed achieves 50% more orders processed with Scheer E2E AG's E2E BRIDGE

A Scheer E2E AG Case Study

The E2E BRIDGE in use at Ypsomed

Ypsomed, a Swiss developer and manufacturer of self-administration injection systems, and EVN, an Austrian utility integrating newly acquired Eastern European subsidiaries, both faced SAP integration challenges: Ypsomed’s multichannel e‑shop was not integrated with SAP and third‑party app connectivity was difficult, while EVN needed to onboard non‑SAP subsidiaries and migrate hundreds of SAP Business Connector interfaces without the heavy overhead of SAP PI. Both organizations required a lightweight, agile approach that kept business and IT aligned.

They adopted the Scheer E2E BRIDGE as a model‑driven “glueware” layer (executable UML) alongside SAP PI, using E2E for third‑party and country‑specific adapters and SAP PI for SAP‑to‑SAP links. The hybrid solution delivered a single, flexible integration platform, rapid incremental changes (typical small change under 4 hours), a small system footprint, and reusable process templates — enabling a 50% increase in orders processed with the same staff, smooth audit readiness, and faster multi‑country roll‑outs while reducing reliance on legacy SAP BC interfaces.
