EVN is using E2E BRIDGE to Optimise its Business

EVN AG is a leading Austrian energy and infrastructure group operating in over 14 countries, with around 9,500 employees, €2.2bn revenue and more than 3 million electricity customers. After acquiring distribution companies in Bulgaria and Macedonia, EVN faced a costly, time‑pressured need to integrate non‑SAP subsidiaries into central SAP processes, migrate hundreds of SAP Business Connector (BC) interfaces, and find a lightweight, multi‑country solution where SAP PI pilots proved resource‑intensive.

EVN adopted the model‑driven E2E BRIDGE using executable UML to complement SAP PI, reuse existing subsidiary apps and accelerate integration. The approach replaced roughly 50% of former SAP BC interfaces, reduced small change turnaround to under four hours (including testing and documentation), improved interface documentation and standardization, maintained a low system footprint, and increased cross‑country collaboration and overall organizational productivity without extra patch‑upgrade resources.
