DFDS - Customer Case Study

DFDS, a Copenhagen‑headquartered shipping and logistics company founded in 1866 with about 9,000 employees, set out to modernize procurement by rolling out Unit4 Source‑to‑Contract by Scanmarket (S2C). Although the eRFx and eAuction tools were in place, adoption was low and the team needed to be empowered to use them effectively—an effort made more difficult when COVID dispersed staff and stalled internal change management.

DFDS worked with S2C’s Customer Success team to build Super Users for eRFx and relied on S2C’s Fully Managed Events to run eAuctions while the team learned best practices. The approach delivered faster, more transparent sourcing: negotiations that once took weeks now average about 45 minutes, sourcing processes are more structured, resources have been freed up, and the organization has gained measurable ROI through practical learning and growing tool adoption.
