Boliden is a Swedish metals company (approx. 5,800 employees, €50B revenue) focused on mining, smelting and recycling. Facing a slow, complex sourcing tool that made supplier onboarding difficult, Boliden set out to replace it with a more user‑friendly platform to simplify sourcing events and increase adoption across the organisation.
After an RFP, demos and POCs the company chose Unit4 Source-to-Contract by Scanmarket (S2C). Implementation included on-site workshops and strong executive involvement to drive change; within six months Boliden ran 427 RFx projects and achieved 100% user adoption, enabling every team to create their own sourcing events.
