E2 Solar began using Scanifly’s shading analysis software to improve how it evaluated solar site shading. The team wanted a faster, easier, and more accurate alternative to manual roof-based SunEye measurements, especially for simulating sun charts from different roof locations and reducing time spent on site.

Using Scanifly’s drone-based 3D modeling and shade analysis tools, E2 Solar was able to create real-world sun charts and model site conditions without extensive roof climbs. E2 Solar said the results were within about 1% of Solmetric SunEye readings, while also being much faster and easier to generate; one comparison showed 87.88% using Scanifly analysis versus 88% using SunEye data.
