World-famous Pilsner brewer adopts mobile scanning for proof of delivery

Pilsner Urquell, part of Plzeňský Prazdroj, needed a faster and more efficient way to track fresh lager deliveries to pubs and restaurants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its drivers had been manually entering identification numbers for mobile tanks, seals, and kegs, which was time-consuming and slowed proof of delivery.

To improve the process, Pilsner Urquell implemented a mobile scanning solution with Scandit software-enabled Samsung smart devices, using QR and Data Matrix codes to capture delivery data instantly. The new system streamlined proof of delivery and helped ensure the right beer batches reached the right locations quickly and accurately.
