Shoe chain Karl Vögele improves customer experience with mobile apps

Karl Vögele AG, the Swiss shoe chain, wanted to improve customer experience and better connect its stores and online business. To support clienteling and inventory management, it used Scandit’s Barcode Scanner SDK to build the ShoeClub customer app and a mobile associate app for its 200 stores, enabling shoppers and staff to quickly check product and size availability.

Scandit implemented smartphone-based barcode scanning that was fast, accurate, and easy to integrate into Karl Vögele’s IT environment. The result was faster service, less waiting for customers, better shopping advice, and higher customer satisfaction. The solution also lowered device and operating costs compared with dedicated scanners, with total operating costs reported as up to five times lower, while helping increase sales and support click-and-collect and other omnichannel processes.
