ERS Medical, a specialist patient transport and courier service for the NHS and wider healthcare sector, needed a faster and more reliable track-and-trace process for time-critical medical deliveries. Scandit provided a scanner-in-an-app on everyday smartphones, integrated with ERS Medical’s existing CAD platform through Scandit’s SDK. The rollout made scanning at least 50% faster, cut scanning time in half, and reduced hardware costs by nearly 90% compared with dedicated devices. ERS Medical also gained stronger item traceability, faster delivery workflows, and a more flexible, secure audit trail for every journey.
