NACEX Streamlines Last Mile Workflows with Scandit Barcode Scanner SDK and Augmented Reality Feedback

NACEX, an express courier services provider in Spain, Portugal and Andorra, needed to improve last-mile parcel handling, barcode scanning speed, and delivery documentation. Its drivers had been using dedicated handheld scanners with proprietary Windows software, but the devices were slow and limited in the information they could capture and show.

To solve this, NACEX adopted Scandit Barcode Scanner SDK in an Android app and added MatrixScan and augmented reality feedback. Scandit helped make scanning more than twice as fast, supported cheaper Android smartphones, and improved workflows for loading, sorting, and delivery verification. The impact is significant: more than 1,000 drivers, or about 70% of the fleet, now use the app, and NACEX handles over 5 million barcode scans per month more efficiently, with plans to roll it out to all franchisees.
