La Poste, France’s largest mail delivery provider, needed to improve the speed and accuracy of its proof-of-delivery and track-and-trace workflows for more than 90,000 carriers handling 23 billion items a year. Using an Android app with open-source barcode scanning software was causing high error rates and slowing down deliveries, so La Poste evaluated Scandit’s Barcode Scanner SDK as a potential replacement.
La Poste implemented Scandit in a trial across multiple Android devices and real-world conditions, and Scandit outperformed the open-source and other proprietary options in every test. The result was faster, more reliable scanning with fewer incorrect scans, and document processing was up to 55% quicker per item, helping La Poste improve delivery efficiency and reduce costly misdeliveries.
