4x Faster Scanning-Enabled App Enhances PUDO Experiences

Helthjem, Norway’s largest media group, needed a faster, more reliable way to handle parcel pick-up and drop-off in its PUDO app and avoid delivery delays that hurt customer experience. To improve speed and accuracy across its growing home-delivery network, Helthjem evaluated several scanning options, including Scandit’s smartphone-based barcode scanning software.

Scandit’s barcode scanner SDK was integrated into Helthjem’s PUDO app on Samsung XCover 4S smartphones for parcel shop employees, enabling quick, accurate scans in store. The result was parcel scanning cut from about 2.5 seconds to a fraction of a second, 1300 parcel shops equipped, and a 4x faster scanning process that improved service quality while helping reduce total cost of ownership.
