Walt Disney Pictures worked with Scanbuy to promote the feature release of “I Am Number Four.” The challenge was to deliver exclusive content in a way that would encourage fans to share it online and help the promotion spread virally.
Using Scanbuy’s ScanLife solution, codes were placed on the PC website and on one-sheets so users could scan to unlock exclusive video content not available elsewhere. The campaign proved highly engaging, with tens of thousands of scans over a three-month period, and Scanbuy enabled the content to be easily shared with friends.
