Gap wanted a better way to engage loyal shoppers around its new 1969 jeans and pants line, both before they visited the store and while they were shopping. The retailer needed to deliver relevant, location-based information using traditional media such as direct mail and in-store signage, and it turned to Scanbuy and its ScanLife solution to help solve the challenge.

Scanbuy implemented ScanLife codes on direct mailers and in the jeans section of stores. The mailers linked to a video from Gap’s Head of Design to build interest and drive store visits, while the in-store codes opened a mobile style finder with fit guidance and buyer comments to help shoppers choose the right jeans. The case study does not cite specific numerical results, but the solution was designed to increase engagement and support purchase decisions.
