Wistia Keeps Things Rolling with Scalyr

Wistia, a video platform founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts, needed a log management and observability solution that was fast, flexible, and reasonably priced after relying only on New Relic. After evaluating Splunk, Sumo Logic, PaperTrail, and LogDNA, Wistia selected Scalyr’s log management platform because it met their criteria for query speed, live streaming, flexible indexing, ease of use, and cost.

Wistia was up and running on Scalyr in about a week and now uses it pervasively across engineering and technical support. Scalyr made it faster and easier to diagnose customer-facing bugs, reduced escalations to engineering by making support more self-sufficient, sped incident response, and helped the team adopt security best practices (including removing root access to production), turning previously “too hard” problems into resolvable issues.
