Telenet, the largest cable operator in Belgium, needed a storage platform that could scale with its rapidly growing base of 4.9+ million email users while keeping email data always available and intact. To meet this challenge, Telenet turned to Scality and its RING object storage platform to support its mission-critical messaging environment.

Scality implemented an end-to-end email architecture with Telenet, including customization of the Zimbra suite and a migration strategy from the legacy platform. Since 2010, Scality RING has helped Telenet safeguard more than 24 billion unique objects across geographically distributed data centers, delivering strong durability, no service interruption, and eliminating the need for traditional backups—saving significant time and cost.
