Earthcube, a French startup providing AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions, required a high-performance and affordable GPU infrastructure to handle the intensive, weeks-long training of its mission-critical deep learning models. Their challenge was to reduce computation timeframes and control costs while maintaining the high quality of their image recognition software. Scaleway provided Earthcube with a solution using its RENDER-S GPU instances. This gave Earthcube's data scientists access to powerful, dedicated GPUs for model training and fine-tuning at a very competitive price. The results allowed Earthcube to run 10 instances continuously, drastically reducing calculation time for model production. The team also praised Scaleway's reactive support and valued that, as a French company, it provided a trusted local alternative to foreign cloud giants.
