How Rackspace Leverages ScaleFT to Provide Secure Fanatical Support

Rackspace, a leading managed services provider, needed a secure way to give its support engineers privileged access to customer cloud resources without slowing down operations. To solve this challenge, Rackspace worked with ScaleFT and its Passport tool to enable fast, controlled access to Windows and Linux instances across major cloud environments.

Using ScaleFT, Passport replaced static credentials with just-in-time, zero-trust access, multi-factor authentication, and single-use certificates for secure SSH and RDP connections through bastions. The result was single-click support access with strong auditability and reduced attack surface, helping Rackspace deliver fanatical support faster while maintaining security and compliance.
