Creating a Native Virtual Assistant App for a European Lottery

Scalefocus partnered with the European Betting and Gaming Organization, a long-established European National Lottery, to modernize its legacy mobile experience. The customer needed to move beyond a limited app focused mainly on checking results and create an omnichannel, user-friendly digital service that could engage more players, support retail and online users, and help increase revenue.

Scalefocus developed native iOS and Android virtual assistant apps with features such as omni-channel login, POS locator integration, digital play slips, real-time content management, offline mode, and secure multi-factor authentication. The new apps significantly improved UX and stability, helping raise store ratings from 3.7 to 4.5 on Google Play and 4.9 on the App Store, generating €6.9 million through the app in a month, reaching 600,000 monthly active users, enabling 2.7 million ticket scans, and achieving 100% crash-free iOS builds and over 99% crash-free Android builds.
