DealerSocket is a leading SaaS platform for auto dealerships across the U.S., Canada, and Australia, serving more than 10,000 dealerships and 300,000 users from an environment of 80 SQL servers and 4,000 customer databases. Rapid growth and global, around-the-clock usage left almost no maintenance window, and the infrastructure struggled to deliver the high availability and zero-downtime operations DealerSocket needed.
DealerSocket deployed ScaleArc’s database load‑balancing software to leverage SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn without code changes; ScaleArc queued traffic during failovers and enabled zero‑downtime maintenance so customers didn’t notice outages. The team also used ScaleArc’s granular caching for read‑only queries to lower server load and boost performance, allowing DealerSocket to meet or exceed its SLAs and scale more easily.
