Case Study: GEO Foundation achieves simplified, scalable server consolidation with Scale Computing HC3

A Scale Computing Case Study

GEO Foundation - Customer Case Study

GEO Foundation is an Indianapolis-based charter school organization serving about 1,500 students across five schools with a 1:1 student device program. Rapid growth and aging central infrastructure left GEO with disparate server and storage silos, bandwidth bottlenecks, and only four IT staff to manage consolidation—so they needed a simple, cost-effective, highly available solution that could leverage E‑Rate funding.

GEO deployed Scale Computing’s HC3 (two 3-node clusters) and used Acronis to perform P2V/V2V migrations, consolidating systems into an integrated, easy-to-manage platform. The migration took under three days with no downtime; GEO now runs 15 virtual servers on HC3, plans a secondary clustered site (90% E‑Rate eligible) for backups, and gains scalable, pay-as-you-grow infrastructure without complex licensing or SAN/NAS management.
