TO2015 - Customer Case Study

TO2015, the organizing committee behind the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, needed to protect a large set of event-critical applications, web portals, and sensitive data while meeting strict security and compliance requirements. Scalar Decisions was brought in to help design and fit out the primary data centre and provide IT security, data centre integration, and managed storage services.

Scalar Decisions implemented a state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre (SOC) and a broader security architecture that included intrusion detection and prevention, security policies and standards aligned to ISO27001, vulnerability scanning, logging and monitoring, and web application penetration testing. The result was continuous threat detection and risk reduction across the Games environment, helping TO2015 secure its systems, support multiple partner organizations, and deliver a well-managed event for 10,000 athletes, coaches, and officials from 41 countries.
