Leading Public Utilities Company, a publicly regulated utilities company in Ontario, needed to modernize obsolete firewall infrastructure to better protect critical assets and meet regulatory requirements. They engaged Scalar Decisions to evaluate next generation firewall (NGFW) options and determine the best fit for their unique environment.

Scalar Decisions led a vendor-agnostic NGFW proof of concept, building a simulated lab that mirrored the customer’s production environment and testing four competing firewall vendors against more than 100 use cases. Over six weeks, Scalar Decisions documented load and threat scenarios with detailed pass/fail reporting and screenshots, enabling the customer to score the results and select the right platform with confidence.
