Zwaag Penitentiary, a correctional institution in North Holland, needed a way to centrally manage programming and playback of audio, films, cable news, and live information feeds while keeping full control of the system. Scala and its certified partner Hulskamp provided a digital signage solution using Scala 5 software.

Scala implemented a digital signage network with 300 screens in the cells, integrated with cable TV, music, films, and emergency messaging. The solution let the penitentiary manage all content in-house and quickly display important alerts when needed, giving staff complete control over communications.
