XL-BYG, the largest Scandinavian tool and DIY chain with more than 250 stores, wanted to boost revenue and improve in-store communication through digital signage. In 2008, the company sought a solution that could deliver messaging, product information, and brand-building content across its locations, and chose Scala partner Nuppenau to help define the network.
Scala helped XL-BYG test and roll out a digital signage concept with strategically placed screens and tailored content for different store areas. The result was a media network across 126 locations and more than 750 screens, generating more sales, increasing cross-selling opportunities, and enabling in-store product demonstrations and stronger brand awareness.
