Utah Valley University Connects Students and Campus Organizations on Screen

Utah Valley University needed to replace an aging campus message network and move beyond outdated CRT TVs and cable-based broadcasting to better serve its students, faculty, and staff. Working with Scala and partner Capta-Vision, the university looked for a digital signage solution that could support information sharing, branding, entertainment, and emergency messaging across campus.

Scala helped implement a campus-wide digital signage network powered by 17 LCD displays and 25 sets of Scala software, enabling departments and student groups to create and schedule their own content. The result was a low-cost, efficient system with positive campus response, fresh and relevant updates in high-traffic areas, and centralized oversight for branding and approvals, all managed with minimal IT overhead.
