Scala’s Flexibility Allows Megabus To Reach Consumers In Buying Mode

MegaBus, the shuttle bus service linking Moscow, St. Petersburg, and nearby shopping centers, wanted to turn passengers’ average 40-minute ride into a marketing opportunity. Working with Scala and partners Captivate Media and IMTV, the company used digital signage to reach its affluent audience while they were in buying mode.

Scala implemented an interactive online digital network across the MegaBus fleet, using 104 Scala players and 303 HD LCD screens updated via satellite. The solution enabled centralized, automated content management and instant updates for local offers and events, helping MegaBus deliver targeted infotainment and ads to more than 1.2 million monthly passengers and increase the potential for sales of advertised goods.
