Scala Software Supports Groundbreaking Communicationtechnology In The Automotive Sector

Toyota Belgium, the national sales and marketing company for the Toyota and Lexus brands in Belgium and Luxembourg, wanted to improve its after-sales communication with customers at its dealership network. Their challenge was to make promoting additional services and accessories quicker and more efficient by moving away from traditional printed materials. To achieve this, they partnered with DOBIT, a technology communication specialist, who implemented a solution using Scala digital signage software.

DOBIT installed a centrally-managed digital signage network featuring large information screens and interactive touch screens in dealership waiting areas. Powered by Scala, this solution allowed Toyota to dynamically inform, promote, and sell to customers, significantly reducing print costs. The project was a major success, starting with a trial at five dealers and quickly expanding to 50, with the nationwide network now driven by 110 Scala players. The system enhanced Toyota's innovative reputation and left both the company and its dealers highly satisfied with the results.
